IV Therapy Training Course

4 hours

Build on your foundational venipuncture skills through the focused, hands-on IV Therapy Training Course. With instructor guidance, students practice vein selection, peripheral IV catheter insertion, catheter securement, saline lock establishment, and troubleshooting while developing a consistent, step-by-step approach to IV insertion.

Prior venipuncture skills required. Please review prerequisites before registering.

Upon successful completion, students receive a Certificate of Completion for the IV Therapy Training Course from A Step Above Medical. The certificate documents completion of the course and the hands-on training provided. It is not a professional license, a state or national certification, and it does not expand a student's legal scope of practice.

The procedures a student may perform after completing the course depend on the student's professional credentials, applicable state laws and regulations, employer or facility policies, and any required supervision or delegation.

Completing the IV Therapy Training Course does not, by itself, authorize medication administration. Students must follow the scope-of-practice and medication-administration requirements that apply to their professional credential and work setting.
